Question by : Really good visual and/or performing art schools in FL (maybe georgia)?
I want to school for photography, 2D art, and perhaps go to an instrument. (Perhaps piano, vocals, guitar, or if they offer it) I live in Florida, so it would be cheaper for me to go to school in Florida.

art schools in Boston?

Question by Colleenbobean: art schools in Boston?
I am looking for a senior to an art school in Boston next year for photography. I’ve always wanted to go to the Art Institute of Boston, but once again money is a problem, and I, if I make a substantial amount of financial support, I wont be able to go get. I was told to look into Massart, because it is very cheap and in the Boston area. I got mixed reviews about Massart and I’m not 100 percent sure that is where I want to spend on the four most important years of my life. But the only public school in the United States Massart not really leave me with many other options. I really want to go in the Boston area, especially in the middle of the city. It is my only chance to live in the city because I know I will not want to live there when I’m older and I live in an extremely small, rural town. I’ve found a few other art schools in the area, but most of them are quite small. I have not done so great in high school. as underclassmen I really do not understand that school really does not matter and my grades were a joke. i as a junior and she was able to raise my grades. now my gpa is a 1.91. I know, not very good. But I really am a good student this year, and compared to my first and second years, years which is really good. I really do not want to go to a community college. Does anyone know of colleges in Boston? I would like opinions about Massart and honest feelings about my chance to go to college. thanks!

Q&A: Why high acceptance rates at some top art schools?

Question by Justin: Why high acceptance rates at some top art schools?
I know that School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Pratt are considered top art schools, but I saw their acceptance rates, and Chicago has 81% and 42% with Pratt. I was expecting at least below 30%. Can someone explain this to me?

Best answer:

Answer by duophonic8
My brother graduated from SAIC. I hear it is very difficult to get accepted. He tried three times before he was finally accepted. I don’t know much about Pratt.
